Minimal Prairie

Minimal Prairie

Project Minimal Prairie is a home that brings together the horizontality of modern prairie architecture with the calming restraint of minimalist design, influenced by travels in Kyoto, Japan.

The design emphasizes strong rooflines that anchor the residence to its site, paired with vertical wood detailing, smooth concrete, and expansive glazing to create a rhythm of warmth and lightness. The muted material palette evokes a sense of timeless calm, allowing the architecture to sit naturally within its setting. By merging natural textures with clean lines, the home achieves a quiet balance—one that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to nature.
