The design approach focused on reworking the interior layout to improve flow, maximize usable space, and create a clearer separation between public and private zones, while maintaining a strong connection throughout the home. The main floor was thoughtfully reconfigured to support everyday living, with improved circulation and more intuitive relationships between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The new second floor introduces additional bedrooms and private spaces, accommodating long-term family needs without compromising the scale of the original dwelling. Externally, the home adopts a traditional craftsman form, expressed through articulated gables, a welcoming covered porch, and carefully detailed trim work. Deep blue horizontal siding is paired with crisp white accents and warm wood elements, creating a timeless yet refreshed exterior that fits comfortably within the surrounding neighbourhood while clearly expressing its transformation.
