Plymbridge

Plymbridge

Project Plymbridge reflects a considered balance between legacy and lifestyle — a quiet, confident upgrade that sits lightly within one of Toronto’s most historic residential neighbourhoods, Hogg's Hollow.

Nestled within the lush, tree-canopied enclave of Hogg’s Hollow, Project Plymbridge is a thoughtful reimagining of a classic stone bungalow. The design retains the quiet charm and modest scale of the original home while modernizing its layout and material palette to meet contemporary needs. The renovated exterior maintains its timeless steep-pitched roofline and limestone cladding, softened by warm accents of wood and copper. Delicate interventions — such as updated glazing proportions, integrated planters, and refined trim detailing — allow the home to feel simultaneously grounded in its natural surroundings and subtly elevated in form. The interior underwent a complete spatial transformation, optimizing flow and functionality. Vaulted ceilings in key rooms add a sense of vertical generosity, while new built-ins, stone fireplaces, and reconfigured bedrooms bring a tailored and efficient livability. The new layout enhances sightlines across the home while still preserving zones of privacy, balancing open-concept living with intimate retreat. Landscaping plays an essential role in grounding the home. Mature trees and layered native plantings blend seamlessly into the ravine-like setting, with natural stone garden walls and soft lawns gently defining outdoor rooms. A reconfigured front drive and modestly detached garage preserve curb appeal and provide practical function.
